  • Nominated as a Lecturer through MPSC from 03-11-1978 to 22-04-1985
  • Nominated as a Professor through MPSC from 23-04-1985
  • Appointed as Officiating Dean from 12-07-2000 to 30-07-2008
  • Promoted as Dean from 01-08-2008 till date of retirement
  • Re-appointed as Dean / Director after retirement

  • Honored by a “Silver Medal” for an Outstanding Project work of B.F.A. Final Year Applied Art at Government Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur.
  • Awarded a Felloship by Government of Maharashtra, at the Government Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur.
  • Honored by a “Highly Commanded Certificate” for an Outstanding work, at the Annual Art Exhibition of Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai
  • Awarded with several other prizes and honors in various competitions and programs organized by University and Various other Government and private organizations for valuable contributions.

Additional Work Experience

  • Deputed for “Teaching & Learning Programme” by the Directorate of Art, Maharashtra State, at Lucknow School of Art, Lucknow and Delhi School of Art, Delhi in the year 1979.
  • Undergone one weeks Visiting Programme on “Type Designing & Casting” at ITR, Pune.
  • Attended an international conference on “Design in ULM” , at IDC, Mumbai as a particiant.
  • Attendeed a national level conference on “Akshar Yog” at IDC, Mumbai as a participant.
  • Deputed as an expert member on the interview panel for the Lecturrs for M.F.A. at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana.
  • Visited NID, Ahmedabad to observe the Art Educatin System at NID, Implementation of Art Education application in profession and the research & development activities.
  • Have executed a mural work 5’ x 100’ of “Govari Smarak” at Nagpur. This work was allotted by the PWD Department of Government of Maharashtra.
  • Have executed five Murals on the life and mission of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar at Reserve bank Square, Nagpur. This work was allotted by NMC, Nagpur
  • Was call as an Expert Member by the Collector, Nagpur on various committees of “Nagpur Tri Centenary Mahotsav”.
  • Deputed as an Expert Member by the Divisional Commissioner, Nagpur, on a committee for : Vidarbha Tourism Development”.
  • Executed and promoted successfully, all the extra curricular programs of Government of Maharashtra, directed by the Directorate of Art, during my tenure as the Dean of college.
  • Promoted art activities in the Nagpur Region and also chaired the programs on art activities in this region.

Outstanding Professional Contribution

Have been worked over the New Font Designs of Devnagari and Gujrati types.

Designed 39 text fonts and designer fonts. Prepared language software of these types.

These fonts are marketed by Modular System, Pune, CDAC, Pune, Data-Flow Software, Mumbai and The Calligraphers, Mumbai.

The Lino Type organization, London, UK have retained my type designs for their collection.

As an artist teacher I have been working hard to cater good knowledge to my students and to bring development in the teaching techniques of an art teacher. For this I have made a suggestion about the duties and standard of an art teacher. My suggestions were highly appreciated by the then Director of Art, Prof. Nangare and were circulated as an ideal among the art institutions and art teachers of Maharashtra State.
